Grilled Sweet and Spicy Peach BBQ Chicken Recipe
Transform standard chicken breasts into a sticky, caramelized masterpiece with this grilled sweet and spicy peach BBQ chicken recipe. The homemade glaze uses peach preserves to add a fruity depth that complements the char of the grill perfectly.
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to an even thickness)
1 cup your favorite store-bought BBQ sauce
½ cup peach preserves or peach jam
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 jalapeño, finely minced (optional, for sweet heat)
1 tsp each: salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder
2 fresh, firm peaches, sliced into thick wedges

1.Simmer the Peach BBQ Sauce:This glaze is the secret weapon of the dish..In a small saucepan, whisk together the BBQ sauce, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, and minced jalapeño. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes so the preserves melt smoothly into the sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
2.Season and Prep the Chicken:Even thickness ensures the chicken cooks at the same rate..Pound the chicken breasts with a meat mallet so they are an even ¾-inch thick. Season generously on both sides with the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
3.Grill the Chicken:Do not add the sauce yet!.Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates. Place the seasoned chicken on the grill and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until beautifully charred and an internal meat thermometer reads 155°F.
4.Glaze and Finish:Sugars burn incredibly fast over an open flame..During the last 3 minutes of cooking, brush both sides of the chicken heavily with the peach BBQ sauce. Add the thick peach wedges directly to the grill grates. Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes until the chicken reaches a safe 165°F (74°C) internal temperature and the glaze is thick, sticky, and caramelized. Serve the chicken topped with the warm grilled peach slices.
