Quick Caramelized Grilled Peaches Recipe with Honey and Cinnamon

Quick Caramelized Grilled Peaches Recipe with Honey and Cinnamon

This quick caramelized grilled peaches recipe with honey and cinnamon is the ultimate effortless summer dessert. The intense heat of the grill caramelizes the natural fruit sugars, transforming a simple peach into a smoky, warm, melt-in-your-mouth treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 firm but ripe freestone peaches, halved and pitted

  • 2 tbsp neutral, high-heat cooking oil (like avocado or canola oil)

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • Vanilla bean ice cream or whipped mascarpone cheese (for serving)

1.Preheat and Clean the Grill:A dirty, cold grill will completely ruin the fruit..

Preheat your outdoor gas grill or an indoor cast-iron grill pan to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). Use a wire brush to scrub the grill grates completely clean so the peaches don't pick up savory flavors from your last dinner.

2.Prepare the Peaches:Oil the fruit, not the grill grates..

Slice the peaches perfectly in half and remove the pits. Using a pastry brush, coat the exposed, cut side of each peach half lightly with the neutral oil. This creates a barrier that prevents the fruit from sticking to the hot metal.

3.Sear for Grill Marks:Do not touch them once they hit the heat!.

Place the peach halves onto the hot grill, cut-side down. Press them down gently with a spatula to ensure solid contact with the grates. Leave them completely undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes. This allows the sugars to caramelize and creates beautiful, dark grill marks.

4.Flip and Soften:

Carefully slide a thin metal spatula under the peaches and flip them over to the skin side. Grill for 1 to 2 more minutes until the flesh is warm and visibly softened, but not turning to mush.

5.Garnish and Serve Warm:

Transfer the warm grilled peaches to a serving platter. Immediately drizzle them generously with the honey and sprinkle with the ground cinnamon. Serve right away with a scoop of melting vanilla ice cream in the center of each peach half.
