Ingredients & Supplies

  • For the Body: Several large scoops of your favorite ice cream flavors (like vanilla and chocolate). Use the largest scoops for the base and smaller ones as you build up.
  • For the Head: One or two medium-sized scoops of ice cream.
  • For the Hat: One standard waffle cone or sugar cone.
  • For the Arms: Pretzel sticks or pretzel rods.
  • For the Features (Eyes, Nose, Buttons):
  • Candy-coated chocolates (like M&Ms or Skittles)
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Miniature marshmallows
  • Chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
  • For Decoration (Sprinkles, Hair, etc.): Rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, or shredded coconut.

Optional Sides & Toppings: Wafer cookies, granola or nuts, caramel sauce, and extra ice cream scoops in bowls.

Basic Steps

  • Place your largest scoops of ice cream on a flat plate or in a sturdy bowl to form the base. Stack a slightly smaller scoop on top to create the torso. Place the head scoop on top. Work quickly so the ice cream doesn't melt too much! (You might want to freeze the stacked scoops for a few minutes to firm them up).

  • Gently press candy-coated chocolates for the eyes and a cherry for the nose. Use mini marshmallows as buttons down the torso.
  • Place a wafer cone on the top scoop as a playful hat.

  • Carefully push pretzel sticks into the side of the torso scoop for arms.

  • Let your Father add sprinkles and any extra candy toppings. Enjoy your creation immediately!
